Football game cancelled in Fossil

FOSSIL – The Pine Eagle Football Team has forfeited the scheduled game with the Wheeler Rattlers on Friday, September due to COVID cases.

Pine Eagle forfeited last Friday’s game against Echo as well. The team lost 0-19 in its opener against S. Wasco Co.

Wheeler Coach Jerry Anderson says that the team is trying to change the game with South Wasco on the 24th to be played in Fossil instead of in Spray.

The Rattlers are 2-0 in league play.

The Wheeler team is playing at a high level and is eyeing a playoff berth. The team has several big games on the horizon. South Wasco Co. will be a challenge but the Rattlers are confident. S. Wasco lost to Joseph 13-31 in Joseph last Friday.
