Kade Wilkins, Condon, was in Las Vegas last weekend to compete in the American Rodeo West Coast Qualifier Steer Wrestling for an opportunity to eventually win one million dollars at the American Rodeo April 10-11, in Arlington, Texas.
The college Freshman at Walla Walla Community College was invited to the event by being the #2 Steer Wrestler in the Northwest Region of the National College Rodeo Association. The top four finishers advanced to compete in the next round for ten berths to challenge the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Association top ten in the World Standings in 2024 at Globe Life Field, for the opportunity to go home with one million dollars.
While Kade did not advance, he had the opportunity to compete with some of the elite steer wrestlers in the world. Kade's parents are Chet and Natalie Wilkins. He is the grandson of Brian and Sherrie Wilkins and Robin Bowman, all from Arlington, while Eva Kilkenny is his great-grandmother.
