CONDON, OR - WorkSource Oregon, part of the American Job Center system coordinated by the US Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration, is a network of workforce development services provided across Oregon to help individuals find and retain employment, as well as to assist employers in finding qualified candidates. It is a collaborative effort between state agencies, local governments, and community organizations.
Together the Frontier Chamber and East Cascades Works have partnered to bring those robust WorkSource https://worksourceoregon.org/" target="_blank">services to Condon, Oregon. WorkSource Oregon is excited to announce that it will be opening a self-service partner location at 311 S Main St, Condon, OR 97823, on the second floor of the Oregon Frontier Chamber of Commerce. This location will not be staffed full-time but will offer resources to job seekers and employers who need access to support. The room will be equipped with computers with internet access, and a printer for public use to support the needs of both job seekers and employers, including activities such as job searches, resume writing, and interviews. Individuals can also receive assistance virtually, over the phone, or by scheduling an appointment with a staff member at the WorkSource location in The Dalles.
The resource room will be open to the public starting Monday, January 13th, 2025. Hours of operation are as follows: Monday - Thursday 9am-3pm Friday 10am-3pm Any person interested in using the room will need to check in at the Frontier Chamber front desk and sign a waiver acknowledging they understand the rules of use.
