Sherman County is gearing up for a full day of holiday sales and bazaars this Saturday, Dec. 7.
The annual shopping extravaganza kicks off at 10 a.m. with the Country Christmas Bazaar at the Grass Valley Pavilion. Vendors will pack the historic pavilion with homemade and handcrafted goods. New this year is a Christmas tree sale outside, hosted by the young Avory Ayles of Triple A's Trees.
At the Sherman County Historical Museum in Moro, the annual holiday sale will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with another tree sale hosted by Sherman County School's sophomore class set up in the parking lot outside.
The big day wraps up with the Wasco Holiday Bazaar from noon to 4 p.m. at the Wasco School Events Center. All three locations will have Shop Local Promotion boxes and punch cards sponsored by Oregon Frontier Chamber of Commerce.
In past years, bazaar organizers reported seeing shoppers from near and far, many who'd traveled hundreds of miles to visit Sherman County and see what local vendors have been up to.
