Final results are in for the Oregon High School Rodeo in Condon this past weekend
Team Roping contestants at the Oregon High School Rodeo in Condon on Friday, September 13. Dozens of student-athletes and their families came to Condon to compete.
Team Roping is one of the most popular events in high school rodeo. High-end horse trailers, many with sleeping quarters, pulled in one after another to the Gilliam Co. Fairgrounds last weekend.

With dozens of contestants, high school kids had a fair amount of down time between events.
Rough Stock for the OHSRA in Condon was provided by Tri State Rodeo Co. OHSRA Secretary Jana Griffith worked on logistics. Josh Lane and Leah Shannon did announcing.
Sherman County artist Chris Huffman donated a piece of his metalworks for a raffle benefitting Katie Garthwaite. Katie is battling ALS and volunteer Bonnie Johnson sold tickets to help fund a promising treatment from a clinic in Florida. The last stop of the Fall 2024 Oregon High School Rodeo Association brought a huge amount of contestants to Condon this past weekend. The Columbia Basin High School Rodeo Association hosted the competition and sends appreciation to those who sponsored the event, volunteered, and attended.
Club members grabbed some points to go into the winter hiatus with. Points are given for first through tenth place. Saturday action saw Reagan Martin of North Powder placing 7th in the barrel racing with an 18.209 run. In the team roping, she and Jaycie Ladner placed fourth, turning in a time of 9.42. Mitchell's Molly Davis tied her goat in 9.42 seconds to earn fourth place.
Sunday's action Colt Gronquist, Arlington, grabbing second place in the steer wrestling with a time of 21.62.
