There has been a question asked, Why not RECALL Leah Watkins? Our answer, She's only been in her job for 1 year and we were hoping she might become an effective Commissioner.
And the reason why we're still recalling The County Judge Farrar and Commissioner Shannon is they’ve been working on Radical changes to our County Court structure with little to no input from the public. They would still have the remainder of 2024 in the office to do more irreversible and costly damage to our County.
There have been seventeen employee turnovers in the county court building, whether fired, quit, or retired it is a huge amount of people in a small amount of time. They have proven mismanagement by not being able to retain employees.
The County Court has wreaked havoc on our community "crisis" by starting projects and not finishing, For instance, 911 dispatch, the Public health district, Day Care, Fiber, Transportation, and they have micromanaged our elected officials to the point they're almost afraid to do their jobs. Commissioner Shannon even asking for a surprise OSHA Inspection to our county road department.
They're so worried about spending time in Salem, they haven't even looked in their own backyard.
Our new Finance Director has just now stepped down. She was hired to take over part the elected official positions of our Treasurer and County Clerk. They have been doing a great job for years.
After hiring a Chief of staff 1-, and then Executive assistant 2-, now a County Administrator 3- all because the judge is unwilling, or she is just unable to do the Job she was elected for.
This would also be the highest paid employee in our county Government !!!
And Commissioner Shannon has fallen step and step in line, voting together every time.
We are standing up for our county that we love. It's been said there is a divide in our county.
Well, let's get back on track; let the people's voices be heard.
