The junior guard has recorded 10 triple doubles this season
Junior Morgan Cole-Hand has been recognized by the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) as the Athlete of the Week from January 22 – January 28.
Cole-Hand was recognized for her achievements in girls basketball.
The junior from Spray has had a stand-out year and has propelled the Lady Rattlers (13-7 Overall, 6-4 League) to fourth place in the Big Sky Conference.
The Wheeler County Rattlers are a combined team of the three Wheeler County schools in Spray, Mitchell, and Fossil.
As a freshman and sophomore Cole-Hand showed promise but this year she has become a dynamic player.
Cole-Hand has recorded ten triple-doubles this season and has been a problem for opposing teams.
In games against Sherman Co., Dufur, and Lyle/Wishram Morgan Cole-Hand had 45 points, 22 rebounds, 26 steals, and fifteen assists. The effort helped Cole-Hand to get the OSAA Athlete of the Week Award.
Morgan also maintains a 4.0 GPA at Spray High School and is on the OSAA Student Advisory Council.
