On Wednesday, hunters discovered Jones's red 2014 Volkswagen Jetta in a canyon approximately three miles northeast of Condon.

The following day, a multi-agency search party was assembled and together with local volunteers, began searching an area off of Cook Road near the Condon Airport. The search finished just after 4 PM and will continue on Friday.

"I want to emphasize the quality and professionalism of the search teams that have reinforced the efforts of our local agencies. We are very appreciative of their support," Sheriff Gary Bettencourt said. "We are committed to finding Autumn Jones."

The search party was made up of several agencies, including: the Morrow County Sheriff's Office, Wheeler County Sheriff's Office, Deschutes County Sheriff's Office, Gilliam County Sheriff's Office, Grant County Search and Rescue, Hood River County Search and Rescue, Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue, Wasco County Search and Rescue, Deschutes County Search and Rescue, Wheeler County Search and Rescue, Gilliam County Road Department, North Gilliam County Rural Fire District, South Gilliam County Rural Fire Department, South Gilliam County Ambulance Service and local volunteers.

Jones told her parents she was going for a drive when she left Boardman on November 27th. She called her parents at 1:30 AM on Nov. 28th, saying she was lost. Phone records show that she was east of Spray in southern Wheeler County. She has not been heard from since.

A mail-carrier saw a red Volkswagen that fit the description of Jones's car on November 29th. Search teams coordinated by Sheriff's Deputies from Wheeler, Morrow and Grant counties were assembled but neither Jones nor her car were found.

On December 4th, the Wheeler County Sheriff's Office said that they had credible evidence that Jones was not in Wheeler County.

Hunters found the car outside of Condon after Jones had been missing for 17 days.

Jones's family has crisscrossed the area searching for Autumn.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Autumn Jones is urged to call the Gilliam County Sheriff's Office
