Porch Decorating Contest provides sense of community over 4th of July weekend

Residents of Condon, Arlington, Fossil, Spray, Mitchell and Wasco encouraged to take part

“Patriotic and Proud” is a home and business decorating contest that will be conducted over July 3rd and 4th. The Condon Chamber hopes to see porches, yards and storefronts adorned with festive decor as we celebrate our nation’s 244th birthday. Prizes will be given to winners.

Due to COVID-19, the Condon Chamber of Commerce has opted to cancel most festivities planned for the 4th of July. The Patriotic and Proud decorating contest will help people to show their love for the red, white and blue while also practicing social distancing.

Some folks are talking about even building a float that will be parked in front of their home, instead of making a float for the main street parade. Tap into your creative side to do something unique and special.

To register for the Patriotic and Proud home and business decorating contest, email the Condon Chamber of Commerce at condonchamber@condonchamber.org.
