Members of Wheeler County Court under ethics review

Oregon Government Ethics Commission opens review of court members, past and present

The Oregon Government Ethics Commission confirmed today that they have received a complaint against several Wheeler County commissioners. The Ethics Commission has assigned an investigator to research the allegations and will have 30 days to review.

While the commission could not divulge information about who brought the complaint or specifically what it entails, they could say that all current members of the court and former commissioner Debbie Starkey were included in the complaint.

The Ethics Commission will review information that is provided by the investigator in their next meeting, according to a staff person reached by telephone.
