CONDON – The Elks National Hoop Shoot will return to Condon and area youth between the ages of 8 and 13 are encouraged to participate.
The Elks Hoop Shoot will be held in Condon on Wednesday, December 29th at 11am in the Condon High School. Members of the Condon Elks Lodge #1869 will host the event.
Boys and girls will be divided into three age groups: ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13 and will shoot a total of 25 free-throws and tiebreakers if necessary. The winners will advance to the Elks District Hoop Shoot in Pendleton on January 9, 2022.
The Elks National Hoop Shoot starts with local contests and advances through district, state, and regionals. The finals will bring regional winners together for the National Finals in Chicago on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Six National Champions will have their names on a digital display at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.
The Elks Hoop Shoot is free, and the Elks will cover travel costs through each level of the competition.
